Initial Submissions

Submitted papers must be original contributions and must not be accepted or submitted elsewhere until the decisions of the program committee are announced.

The official language of the conference is English. All submissions must therefore be in English.

Submission types:

Full research papers 12-16 page
Short communications 6-11 pages
Doctoral Consortium papers 6-8 pages

Please note that full research papers are preferred to be published by Springer.

Submissions must be formatted according to the Springer CCIS template and submitted only in the PDF format. Each submission needs to be accompanied with at least three appropriate keywords.

Springer provides instructions and templates (LaTeX, Microsoft Word, Overleaf) for authors on preparing their manuscripts. Failure to comply with these requirements, including formatting, will result in automatic rejection of your paper. Do note that Springer encourages to include DOIs in your references.

Please read and follow the ethical policies by Springer published in Book Authors' Code of Conduct. These guidelines set the standards of proper ethical behaviour and responsibilities for book authors (contributing authors to edited volumes and monograph authors).

All papers should be submitted electronically via the EasyChair Conference System at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=balticdbis2022

Camera-Ready Papers (Springer CCIS)

Camera-ready papers should be submitted both in source format (MS Word or LaTeX) and in PDF format. All camera-ready papers must conform to the Springer template according to the author instructions.

Authors should consult Springer's authors' guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers. In addition, the corresponding author of each paper, acting on behalf of all of the authors of that paper, must complete and sign a Licence to Publish form. The corresponding author signing the Licence to Publish form should match the corresponding author marked on the paper. Once the files have been sent to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the papers cannot be made. Detailed information is available on the Information for Authors of Springer Computer Science Proceedings page.

  • Authors should follow the Checklist of items to be sent to the volume editor listed in the Springer Guidelines for Authors of Proceedings (Section 9).
  • Authors also need to sign and submit the Licence to Publish form PDF. This form has to be signed by the authors of each paper, at least by the corresponding author, and presented electronically together with the final version of the paper.
  • Papers that do not comply with the specified guidelines will be returned to authors. If formatting problems are not corrected by authors, their paper will be omitted from the proceedings. The authors are responsible for preparing the final manuscript in time for its inclusion in the conference proceedings.
